Order official and certified Estonian company documents

Apostilles certifies the authenticity of the signature, seal, and position of the official who has executed, issued, or certified a copy of a document. For example, if the tax office has issued you a signed verification that you have been VAT registered, then an Apostilled certifies the document as valid and can be used.

A notary certifies the authenticity of a signature or a document. A notarized document means it has a notary signature on it.

In cases where there is no issued signed document, such as the company registry card, it is first notarized to certify the authenticity of the document, then with an Apostille it certifies the document for it.

There are countries that Estonia collaborates with that do not require Apostille when certifying documents, those are: Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, and Ukraine. If you require documents in another language, then a sworn translated document does not need to be notarized.

In Estonian and English. Note that some documents might need to be sworn translated. For example, if your company Article of Association is not in English on the business registry then this document needs to be sworn translated.

It is a form of certified translation. This is when an authorized (sworn) translator has translated the document.

Certified translation in Estonia can happen from the official language to the required language, such as Estonian to German. But it can't be from English to German.
